Performance Profile:
The Sharepoint Analyst will be responsible for developing, managing, supporting and customzing SharePoint sites for Passport Services. This position will support greater utilization and customization for SharePoint, and will help to achieve communication and strategic goals for Passport Services. The SP Analyst will work with the Business Requirements, Communications, Strategy and Performance Measurement teams to incorporate processess, expand capabilities and ensure that efforts are streamlined in order to achieve defined objectives for the organization.
The SP Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining a logical hierarchy that will support the SP organizational structure and meet the security requirements of each office and the directorate as a whole. The Analyst will monitor site groups and create new groups as needed. As users are provided site creation rights, the Analyst will monitor these sites to ensure compliance with the overall hierarchy and architecture to maximize usability and decrease user confusion. The SP Analyst will also monitor and enforce security restrictions, and constraints necessary to protect information for users.
As needs arise, the SP Analyst will provide development support in the creation of reports, customization of sites through FrontPage or Web Express and will work with customers to optimize communication and extend collaboration across TO and PPT.
The Analyst, as a part of the Strategic Support Group, will provide additional support to other divisions in Passport Services, in the planning and implementation of SharePoint efforts. As the TO Office grows, additional responsibilities may be added to this description. The position will also support additional requests as requested by the Contract Officer Representative
Position-specific Requirements:
• 3 to 5+ years experience developing web solutions using SharePoint 2003/2007.
• 3 to 5+ years experience using Visual Studio.NET/SharePoint Designer, including the design and implementation of custom web parts and other programs that leverage the SharePoint object model.
• 3 to 5+ years experience in Visual Studio Tools for Office, Windows Workflow Foundation, Forms Server and Excel Services.
Position-specific Desired Skills:
• Visual Studio 2003/2005 Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007 and MOSS technologies including web part development
• C#
• Visual Studio 2005 Team System
