Is there anyone that knows how I can open a document library from wss 3.0 inside my own word editor that I have developed?

I also want to be able to save documents to a sharepoint document library. Is this a issue for my software or do you open in explorer in wss 3.0 to get the paths?

Not sure about your 'Custom Word App'; but WSS document libraries can be accessed through an 'http://' or UNC call so either will work if our Word App will support it.
