I have a WSS 3.0 farm setup with one web application. I created several top-level sites using different databases for each (stsadm createsiteinnewdb command). The url's for the top-level sites all follow the same URL as my web application. An example of what I mean is my web application URL is web.app.edu and my top-level sites all use the same URL convention of web.app.edu/sites/research; web.app.edu/sites/teaching; etc. I need to modify the upload file size on several of these top level sites but cannot because the Maximum Upload setting is found under the web application general settings, and does not allow me to modify the quota size on my top-level sites. Does anyone have an idea how I can modify this at each top-level location?

Download a Software called SharePoint Manager 2007 and the Danish guy who write WSP Builder. With that tool you can custom all this.
