Hello there,
First off, great site!
I have a problem I am hoping someone could help me with.
Okay, I have a created an extended web application from my port 80 web application site collection. I extended the web application in order to allow outside access to my port 80 site collection. When I configured the extended web app, I left it as port 80, NTLM authentication and checked off "Anonymous access".
I have also setup the AAM (Alternative Access Mapping) with the public URL and internet zone. I also went into DNS and created a local A record.
Now the problem I am having is that when I try to hit the page locally using the public URL "http://sharepoint.mydomain.com" I am prompted for my AD credentials, but for some reason the site won't accept my credentials (Which are the site collection administrative credentials) and ultimately I receive the "You are not authorized to view this page" message.
Now, I am not sure if I have missed some configuration steps prior to this??? Also not sure if it would be beneficial to make a manual modification to the web.config file in order to fix this??
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thank you.
