we have a wss3 site exposed on internet. With this site our customer can communicate defects for several applications under AM. Very often when the customer try (using Windows xp and IE 7 browser) to create a new issue record with an attachment file at least of 100-300Kb size the save operation fails after the configured timeout of 2 minutes. We made the monitoring of the communication between the server and the client using the standard microsoft network monitor observing a lot of retry to trasmit data packets. The client network configuration seems does not matter, because of the same result occur creating issues from a standard adsl internet connection withot any firewalling enabled. The same operation terminate succesfully and fast when executed at intranet level. Does anybody can solve this problems? Similar argument on internet search are related to upload problems for windows98, regarding tcp/ip configuration and big data file up to 50Mb, and suggested work around did'nt solve the problem. Thanks for answering.
