We have WSS 3.0 - when I try to search the site I get "Your search cannot be completed because this site is not assigned to an indexer. Contact your administrator for more information.". In WSS 3.0 Central Admin / Application Management / Content Databases, the Search Server dropdown is protected - or the dropdown has nothing in it.
WSS is installed on our TFS Server, and WSS was installed as part of the TFS installation. The WSS databases reside on a SQL server clustered named instance - these are the WSS databases:
WSS_AdminContent
WSS_Config
WSS_Content
that's it. There is no "Search" database.
Can someone point me in the right direction to get WSS 3.0 Search working?
