Hi All
I'm new to the site and pretty new to WSS (at least to the level I'm getting involved this time).
Ok so I have a newly built server and installation of WSS 3.0 SP2.
I have the search server 2008 express installed over the top with the option enabled to overwrite the existing site.
I then created a new site collection and our dev guy has done a tiny bit of customising (basically our logo and a google search web part.
He also applied the Simple Theme to the site and I have applied this to any sites I have created within since.
I was trying to enable SSL on the site. But no matter how I go about this when I access the site I get a pop-up announcing that not all the content on the site is encrypted using SSL and do i want to only view the SSL content or view both SSL and non-SSL.
If I choose only SSL the google logo is missing but everything else is fine. If I choose ALL content the entire page drops SSL and displays the logo. Anything you browse to brings the SSL warning propt up again.
So I built a test machine and configured it exactly the same way. I then extended the existing site to create an SSL protected site.
When I accessed this it worked perfectly. No prompts and fully SSL enabled.
That is until I applied the 'Simple Theme' to the site. As soon as I hit apply the SSL warning started up and appears, as on the other server, on every page and link you click...
Has anyone seen this? I cannot see why applying a certain theme will screw up SSL.
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Rob
