Hi All,
I'm trying to plan and test a disaster recovery process for my WSS 3.0 site. We have a DR site that I have WSS installed on ready to restore a backup to if needs be.
My problem is, when I do a restore it looses all the workflow information. The workflows restore fine, (I can see them and "attach" them to the lists in Sharepoint Designer). However, if the workflow is currently running on an item this information is lost - as in, if I click "Workflow" on the list item it says there are no workflows currently running on that item.
This is obviously a huge problem for business continuity, as far as I can tell users would have to resubmit all current items so that the workflows can be reinitialised.
I've been doing the backups with Sharepoint Designer, does anyone know if there is a better technique to preserve the workflow status?
Any help appreciated!
