i have IIS defult web site runing with some appliation and i want to run sharepoint services 3.0 diffrent port so please guide me how to configure this

We can do that. Upto my knowledge it is not adviceble to run other application in SharePoint Server.

R u installed WSS 3.0 in ur server? Basically what happens is when u install WSS 3.0 then it creates a default website on 80 port. Ok we can stop this port and extended ur web application with port number as different. If u have the access to ur central administration site then u can extended ur application. OK
