Aggregating Lists

I have a requirements to aggregrate content at a site collection level from all of it's subsites. For example, I have a site collection with multiple subsites each with it's own purpose. Tasks are being assigned to individuals in the subsite. I would like to have any tasks created in the subsites, to automatically appear in an overall task list in the site collection. Is this possible?

You can use SPSiteDataQuery for aggregating lists in the site collection.
