SharePoint List - Column Description Missing

Good Afternoon

When creating SharePoint custom lists, when adding columns I can apply a description to a column to help the end-user. When viewing the form in the newform.aspx view the description is not showing. The page has not been edited - as far as I am aware - in SharePoint Designer. Would there be any reason why the column description would not be showing?

Did you find a resolution to this issue? I'm having the same issue in a farm and have not been able to resolve it.
