Hide Sites On Toolbar Based on Permissions

All,

I'm trying to hide a site on the toolbar if a user does not have access to it. Right now, when a user who does not have access to this site logs in, the site still appears but gets an access denied when trying to access the site. Is there way to display a site on if the user has Read permission or higher?
