Hi All,
I'm wondering is anyone has structural suggestions for making a slow transition from a shared drive folder system to using metadata on SharePoint. Since many in my organization are too busy to spend the time needed to get fluent with the metadata system that we've newly introduced, there has been a request to have a transition stage, somewhere between folders and metadata.
I have thought of creating a folder - subfolder system within our site's main libraries and naming the folders according to traditional metadata content types. That way the users will see the folders they are familiar with, but will still be getting aquianted with the metadata way of thinking.
Any other ideas out there???
