Another dumb question

I created a list in MOSS and in this list was a status column. I am trying to see if I can get the dates i input into the status column can automatically be populated to the list calender..?? Help!!!

You'd have to pass some data from one list to the other; have you looked into connectable webparts? You may want to look into the Software Development Kit located at the link below.

Why not use SPD to create a custom workflow that gets triggered whenever the status is updated? If you look at several of the "Fab 40", you'll see that MS uses WF to handle what we might normally think of as "macro" type automation. Seems odd (I didn't think of it as workflow at first), until you understand that MS is thinking "work" and then "flow".
